Teachers, counselors, mentors, and youth serving professionals help create safe spaces where young people feel seen, heard, and supported.

That work matters deeply.

Compassion in schools and community spaces can shape confidence, resilience, healing, and belonging for generations to come.
Thank you to those who continue showing up with care and humanity. πŸ’œ

Memorial Day πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Today, we honor and remember the brave U.S. military personnel who gave their lives in service to the country. Their sacrifice and courage will never be forgotten.

As we reflect on this day, may we also continue to hope and advocate for peace. Say no to war. War costs lives, families, and futures. ❀️

Mental health affects everyone.

Stress, anxiety, grief, burnout, and emotional overwhelm do not discriminate by age, background, profession, or identity.
Compassion invites us to move beyond judgment and toward understanding. A kind conversation, a listening ear, or simply showing up can make a real difference.
You deserve support too. πŸ’œ

Leanne was at AIB studios recording a PSA about ethical leadership at their Studios.

What does ethical leadership look like in times like these?
It looks like integrity when difficult decisions must be made.
It looks like accountability when trust feels fragile.
It looks like empathy when communities are hurting.
It looks like courage when standing up for fairness and human dignity matters most.
At Compassionate Atlanta, we believe ethical leadership is not reserved for people with titles or positions of power. It lives in everyday actions, relationships, and choices. It is built through listening, transparency, consistency, humility, and a commitment to the well being of others.
We were honored to participate in AIB Network’s 2026 Community Initiative focused on Ethical Leadership. In a time of polarization, uncertainty, and disconnection, compassionate and values driven leadership is essential to building communities where people feel seen, heard, respected, and safe to belong.
Leadership rooted in compassion creates ripple effects far beyond organizations. It shapes families, neighborhoods, workplaces, and future generations.
Compassion is a verb. Ethical leadership is putting those values into action every day. πŸ’š

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

Compassion begins when we remember that people are carrying stories, stress, grief, burnout, and invisible struggles every single day.
Checking in on yourself is important. Checking in on each other matters too.
If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 for support. You are not alone. πŸ’š

The Frank Hamilton School has helped shape the cultural heartbeat of Decatur through music, learning, and joyful community connection.

We are honored to collaborate with them for a special Yoga Nidra gathering on May 21 at Legacy Park.

Rest is community care too.

Come breathe, pause, and reconnect with yourself and others.
