Boundary data sources
Chicago community areas
Community-area boundaries are provided by the City of Chicago Data Portal, accessed 7 October 2026. They are used to check whether listings fall within an area. See the City's data terms of use.
This site provides applications using data that has been modified for use from its original source, www.cityofchicago.org, the official website of the City of Chicago. The City of Chicago makes no claims as to the content, accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of any of the data provided at this site. The data provided at this site is subject to change at any time. Philadelphia neighbourhoods
Neighbourhood boundaries are derived from Robert Cheetham / OpenDataPhilly, data updated 24 April 2024, accessed 7 October 2026, under CC BY 4.0. This is a curated, non-official source. Reviewed polygons are converted to the database geometry format while preserving existing neighbourhood definitions.
Houston super neighbourhoods
Boundaries are provided by the City of Houston Planning and Development Department, accessed 7 October 2026. The data are in the public domain. The City provides GIS data for general reference and does not warrant accuracy, completeness or suitability for legal, engineering or surveying use. Reviewed polygons are converted to the database geometry format.
San Diego neighbourhoods
Boundaries are provided by City of San Diego Police / SanGIS, updated 6 October 2026, accessed 7 October 2026, under ODC Public Domain Dedication and Licence. These are police reference neighbourhoods and do not represent legal community boundaries. Reviewed polygons are converted to the database geometry format; fragments sharing the same source identifier are combined where required to preserve the existing neighbourhood definition.
Los Angeles neighbourhoods
Boundaries derive from the Los Angeles Times Mapping L.A. V6 export, publisher revision 5acc817, accessed 7 October 2026. This historical, non-official source preserves the existing neighbourhood definitions. Polygons are converted to database format; original sibling overlaps remain and ambiguous listing points are excluded.

Austin neighbourhood planning areas
Boundaries from the City of Austin GIS Division, accessed 7 October 2026, under the City Open Data Terms of Use. Montopolis preserves its existing definition. Oak Hill combines East and West Oak Hill, GIS IDs 3.0 and 9.0, preserving the existing combined footprint. Data are converted to database geometry format.
Miami neighbourhoods
Port of Miami boundary from the City of Miami, Department of Innovation and Technology, GIS Team, accessed 7 October 2026, under CC BY 4.0. The source polygon exactly preserves the existing boundary; data are converted to database geometry format.
Philadelphia historical definitions
East Falls, Chestnut Hill, West Mount Airy and Upper Roxborough use Robert Cheetham / OpenDataPhilly's archived 2013 export, accessed 7 October 2026, under CC BY 4.0. The four source polygons exactly preserve their existing definitions; later changed footprints were not substituted.
Zillow neighbourhood boundaries

Avondale, Walnut Hills and Camp Washington in Cincinnati; Beechmont and Camp Taylor in Louisville; Maxwell Park and Chinatown in Oakland; Hough in Cleveland; Mountain View in Anchorage; Bixby Knolls in Long Beach; and Highland Pines, Palma Ceia and Virginia Park in Tampa use Zillow boundaries from the EPA 2017 archive, accessed 7 October 2026. These are Zillow's neighbourhood definitions, not legal or jurisdictional boundaries.
The boundary data and our downloadable selected boundaries are shared under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0. Changes: thirteen polygons selected, coordinates converted from NAD83 to WGS84, then stored in database geometry format. No topology repair or manual coordinate adjustment was made. The original Zillow attribution and share-alike terms are retained.
