Late Patriotic Week! The kids created beautiful American flags using colorful tissue paper and had a great time showing their creativity. On Wednesday, we enjoyed another field trip to the park, where everyone had so much fun running, playing, and spending time with friends. We also made our tie-dye shirts, mixing bright colors to create one-of-a-kind designs. We wore our awesome shirts last Wednesday for our movie theater field trip to show off all of their hard work!

Tostadas yesterday were a hit! ✨🤪

Today we finished up our week by creating these colorful flame crafts using tissue paper. The children had so much fun tearing and gluing the tissue paper to make bright flames. Today we learned all about firefighters and the important job they do to help keep our community safe. We talked about the tools they use, how they respond to emergencies, and ways they help people every day. The children enjoyed learning about firefighters and were excited to show off their creative flame projects!

Community Helper week, Pre K acted like construction workers! We practiced our building skills using marshmallows and toothpicks.

🚒 FIRE DEPARTMENT DONATION DRIVE 🚒

Dear Parents,

We would like to show our appreciation to the firefighters who took time out of their busy schedules to visit our classroom and teach the children about fire safety and the important work they do in our community.

To thank them for their service, we are collecting donations of drinks and hydration items to deliver to the fire department.

🚒 “Not all heroes wear capes—some wear firefighter gear!” 🚒

Today we had a very special visit from the firefighters at the Decatur Fire Department! They came to talk to the children about what firefighters do to help keep our community safe and showed us some of the equipment and supplies they carry on their fire truck. The children were excited to climb aboard the fire truck, explore the inside, and even got the chance to honk the horn! It was an unforgettable experience filled with learning, excitement, and lots of smiles. A huge thank you to the Decatur Fire Department for taking time out of their busy day to visit our classroom and spend time with these amazing kids. We truly appreciate their dedication, and the children had so much fun learning from our local heroes! 🚒❤️👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

We learned all about dentists and how they help keep our teeth healthy and strong. We talked about different things that can hurt our teeth, such as eating too much candy and not brushing regularly. The children worked together in groups to create posters showing healthy and unhealthy foods for our teeth. They enjoyed drawing pictures on their posters and discussing which foods help keep our smiles bright and healthy. It was a fun and educational day filled with teamwork and learning! 🦷😁🍎🍭

This week we have been learning about fun community helpers! On Monday, we learned all about the Military and the important jobs they do to help and protect our country. The children created a fun camouflage helmet craft using a paper plate bowl and enjoyed showing off their creations. We also learned about the six branches of the military and discussed the role each one plays. To make the day even more special, we enjoyed our lunch outside and spent time playing outdoors. The kids had a wonderful time learning, creating, and enjoying the beautiful weather!
