Congratulations to our 4th and 5th grade Math Teams for winning 3rd place at the Walter Jackson Math Tournament! We had 4 students place in the top 10 individually. For 4th grade Madison Serrano placed 9th and Ruhaan Balani placed 4th. For 5th grade Matias Cruz placed 7th and Khang Nguyen placed 4th. We’re so very proud of our Black Bears.

🍎 Reading Weekend Challenge! 📚

We’re challenging our students to make reading a part of their weekend! Students should read two nonfiction books and pass both AR quizzes with a score of 85% or higher.

Students who complete the challenge will have their name entered into a drawing for a chance to choose a book from our school’s book vending machine! 🎉📖

There will be one winner from each grade level, so everyone has a chance to win!

🍎🍏 We had the BEST Johnny Appleseed STEAM Day! Our students enjoyed a day full of hands-on learning and all things apples!

Students put their skills to work building apple towers, discovering whether apples sink or float, and sorting apples by color! They topped off all that learning by making a delicious apple pie in the crockpot. 🥧❤️

Ms. Salinas’ class taste tasted different apple dips, collected data, and graphed them for their math lesson.
