Leon Sheffield Magnet School- Decatur, Alabama

🧹💙 Happy National Custodian Appreciation Day! 💙🧹

Today, we’re celebrating the fabulous custodians who help keep Leon Sheffield Magnet School clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for our students every single day! 🏫✨

We are so thankful for Ms. Katlyn, Mr. Mike, and Mr. Bobby! Your hard work, dedication, and willingness to take care of all the little things that make a BIG difference do not go unnoticed.

🎉 Sweet success today for our math rockstars! 🍭

Each class per grade level who had the highest number of passed lessons was treated to some delicious, fresh cotton candy today! We are so proud of your hard work—keep it up!

💡 A quick reminder for all families: To help increase math proficiency, our goal is for every student to pass 2 lessons every week. Let's keep striving for excellence!

Happy Birthday Mason Lee & Mary Charles 🎉

🎶 Happy 9/25 Day, Leon Sheffield! 🎶

Say it out loud... nine, twenty-five! Sound familiar? That's because it's a nod to "9 to 5," the classic hit by country music legend Dolly Parton!

Dolly grew up in a big family in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee — one of 12 kids! 🏔️ She went on to write hundreds of songs, but our favorite thing about her is the Imagination Library, a program that mails FREE books to kids to help them fall in love with reading. 📚

Today we challenged our students to grab a good book and read for at least 9 minutes and 25 seconds!

We played a short video about her Imagination Library on Good Morning Leon Sheffield this morning - https://youtu.be/vbqwi0CEyE4
