Tomorrow is a fun day at University Pickers-Huntsville! Coupons are hidden ALL over the store in different booths—- you search to find the ticket— bring it to the front desk for them to look up what the tickets worth! $10-25 for the most part! There’s almost $1000 worth of tickets hidden over both floors!!! Only one ticket per person— what a fun way to spend the day— one that can be profitable too!!

I believe Mike may have set a record for number of pens made… and there’s some he didn’t even get to!

Something new Mike is offering this year… is customized engraving!! He can do “normal” engraving— or— he can replicate someone’s signature! Be sure to ask him about the process for a truly personal gift!

It’s been quite a few years since Mike has done any shows— so it’s nice to start back with Christmas Village Festival!!! Tomorrow we finish our set up… he has about 200 pens made— a record for him, we think! The now-sparse looking table will be full by tomorrow afternoon!

He’s on Gingerbread Lane, 53… and I’m behind him on Candy Cane- 46-45 Show starts Wednesday - sold out VIP day. Public hours start Thursday— and ends on Sunday!

Mike has been getting ready for Christmas village- which has proven a little stressful due to a recent knee injury— but he’s getting there!

The last time he did a show— was 2014, we think!!! It seems that it’s been one thing after another— and I’ve told him that they didn’t give him a punch card for a free surgery after so many !!! Haha!!!

In some ways, it’s like starting over! New business cards, ordering boxes… we found that the website domain had expired- and get this!!! Someone in Arizona “bought” it! Who would want OUR name?! Lol. So—— we registered a similar one— www.mikconcreations.net If you have an old business card… the only difference is .com to .net. It’s in a trial phase… and unsure when we will get it up and running in a much better way- but for now— it’s THERE!

Mike has a new toy and is practicing 🙂. He hopes to offer actual signature engraving on pens in the future! This is a trial run..... it needs some fine tuning but it’s going to look pretty cool! (This is just a raw piece of wood.... practicing before he works on a finished pen!) ol l

Folks... it’s been over FIVE years since Mike has made a pen— he’s back in the shop.... here’s some that he segmented today.... to be turned next week. I’m so excited that he’s finally physically able to get back to it!

Connie will be at Bloomin' Festival in Cullman AL- behind the main building near the food tent. She will have a portfolio or two of Mike's pens---but he won't be there. Looks like he will be putting off all spring & summer shows & will concentrate on fall shows, due to his surgeries. He's much better, working on restoring a vintage camper-- but handling the small tools in pen turning is still a challenge at this point. If you have anything in particular you'd like for us to bring, let us know---and will add it to the portfolios!

Mike is having rotator cuff surgery as soon as Connie is finished with the next two shows----which means, he won't be at Christmas Village this week! He will have most orders finished before his surgery--and will have what pens he has at the Hulsey Holiday Happenin' on Nov 30 in Decatur. HOpefully NEXT year will prove surgery-less for him and he can get back into the swing of things! Two years in a row has been rather frustrating!

Saturday! If You've been waitin for fall weather--- it'll be here! And how perfect it will be to stroll through a beautiful park filled with artist from all over the south! Bluff park art show-- 9-4. Free transport from shopping centers close by!
