Oak Park Elementary School-Decatur, Alabama

Ms. Roberts’ 3rd grade class celebrated a BIG reading accomplishment with a well-deserved ice cream party! They read an incredible 100 books in just TWO weeks! 🤩📖

Way to go, readers! Keep turning those pages, discovering new stories, and making reading fun! ❤️📚🍦

Mrs. Allen’s third grade class had a fun-filled day learning all about Johnny Appleseed and the life cycle of an apple! 🍎 They also worked together to make delicious baked apples. Learning, teamwork, and a sweet treat made for a wonderful day! ❤️🍏

Fantastic Friday Staff Shoutout! Meet Lauren Mahler!

We celebrated National Talk like a Pirate day so we leveled up by sailing the seas to blend R words and walking the plank and lots more! Our pirates are fierce and smart! Mrs. Dolan's class had so much fun!

🍋 Science has never tasted so sweet! 🍋

Students in Mr. Keffer's class put their science skills to work while learning about mixtures by making their very own lemonade! They combined ingredients, observed what happened when they were mixed together, and enjoyed a tasty reward at the end. 🧪🥤

Hands-on learning + lemonade = a pretty sweet science lesson! 💛

🃏🔢 UNO + Kindergarten = Learning Fun! 🔢🃏

Mr. Rader’s Kindergarten students turned a classic card game into a fun number-matching adventure! 🎉

Using UNO cards, our little learners practiced recognizing and matching numbers while having a blast along the way. Who knew a deck of UNO cards could make math this much fun?! ❤️💛💚💙

Learning + playing + teamwork = a winning combination! 🌟

Fantastic Friday Staff Shoutout! Meet Mrs. Cooper! She teaches 4th grade at Oak Park! She especially makes MATH fun!!!

💙 Grandparents Day was a huge success! 💙

A special thank you to all of our wonderful families for taking the time to come and visit Oak Park Elementary today! We loved seeing so many smiling faces and celebrating the special grandparents and loved ones who mean so much to our students.

Thank you for making today such a memorable day! 🥰 We are so grateful for our amazing Oak Park family! 💙

🍪 Tiny cookies, BIG learning! 🍪

First graders in Ms. Dolan’s class had a sweet time practicing their counting skills with tiny cookies today! Hands-on learning makes math even more fun… especially when cookies are involved! 🍪🔢❤️
