MUD TAVERN VOLUNTEER FIRE / RESCUE

October at Mud Tavern Volunteer Fire & Rescue! 🚒🍂

October is here, and we have a busy month ahead filled with fire prevention, appreciation, and some fall fun! 🎃

🔥 October 4–10 — Fire Prevention Week
We’ll be sharing fire safety and prevention information throughout the week. It’s a great time to check smoke alarms, review your family’s escape plan, and make sure everyone in your home knows what to do in an emergency.

🚑 October 14 — Emergency Nurses Day
We’ll take a moment to recognize the emergency nurses who work alongside EMS professionals to care for patients when they need it most. We appreciate everything you do!

🎃🚜 October 25 — MTVFR Fall Festival
Save the date! We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone for an evening of hayrides, games, and fall fun for the whole family. More details are coming soon, so keep watching our page!

🚒 And, as always, we meet and train every Thursday at 7:00 PM. Interested in becoming part of MTVFR? Stop by, meet the crew, and see what we’re all about. No experience? We’ll train you!

🔥 One more reminder: October is the final month of the ADEM seasonal burn ban, which remains in effect through October 31.

We’re looking forward to a great October. Stay safe, stay connected, and we’ll see you at the Fall Festival! ❤️🚒🍁

We Still Want to Hear From You! 🚒

Did you grab a Boston Butt or Ribs from our recent sale—or have you purchased from us in the past? We’d love your feedback!
We’re always looking for ways to make the next fundraiser even better, from the food itself to pickup day—and maybe even what we should put on the smoker next.

Our survey only takes a few minutes, and your feedback really does help us plan future sales. If you've already filled out the survey, thank you!

Tell Us What You Think!

Boston Butt and Rib Sale Feedback Thank you for supporting Mud Tavern Volunteer Fire & Rescue! Your feedback will help us improve future Boston Butt and Rib sales. This survey should take only a couple of minutes, and your responses may remain anonymous.

When someone calls 911, somebody has to show up.

In a volunteer department, that “somebody” is a neighbor.
Someone with a job. A family. A full schedule. Someone who once walked through the station doors without knowing everything they know today.

They learned. They trained. And they kept showing up.
You don't have to already be a firefighter or EMT to start.

You just have to be willing to take the first step.

Come see us Thursday at 7 PM - 2278 Kirby Bridge Road.

Answer the call. We train you. ❤️

Patriot Day
We Will Never Forget 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness shown on one of our nation's darkest days.

We remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, military members, and everyday citizens who ran toward danger to help others. We honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, those who survived, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

For those of us in the fire and emergency services, September 11 is also a powerful reminder of what it means to answer the call; to serve others, no matter the circumstances.

May we continue to carry forward the spirit of unity, service, and compassion that brought our nation together in the days that followed.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸❤️🚒
