🚨 Siren Test Reminder 🚨

Just a heads up! Our monthly emergency warning siren test will take place today at 9:15 AM. This includes both TVA sirens and tornado sirens. If you hear the sirens this morning, there is no emergency — it’s only a scheduled test.

[Training Exercise]The Morgan County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a training exercise at Cotaco School until 4pm today and 8-4pm on Friday. There will be a large Law Enforcement presence on both days.

Last Wednesday, Morgan County EMA conducted a Community Reception Center (CRC) exercise at Hartselle High School. The exercise gave local stakeholders an opportunity to coordinate responsibilities, better understand what would be expected during an actual emergency, and receive hands-on experience with the equipment used during CRC operations.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped strengthen Morgan County’s emergency preparedness!

[2:16 PM] Medium to high chances for rain and thunderstorms will persist through the rest of the day, with a low/medium risk for localized flooding east of I-65. Recent forecast trends suggest the biggest flooding concerns may stay just south and east of the area today.

⚠️ TORNADO SIREN OUT OF SERVICE ⚠️

The tornado siren at Cotaco School is out of service until further notice due to a lightning strike.

All residents in the county should have multiple ways to receive weather alerts, including a NOAA Weather Radio, the Morgan County EMA app, and MorganALert. Never rely on outdoor warning sirens as your only source of emergency information.

📍 Priceville High School — Friday, July 24

You may notice several first responders and emergency vehicles in the area, but don’t worry, it’s all part of the exercise!

Please be advised that due to a traffic accident on Interstate 65 southbound near the 328 Mile Marker, traffic is currently at a complete standstill with no movement in the affected area.
The Hartselle Police Department is on scene abd actively working to manage the scene and safely clear the roadway as quickly as possible.
We ask motorist to avoid the area if possible, seek alternate routes, and remain patient while emergency crews perform their duties. Please do no attempt to drive around emergency vehicles or enter restricted areas.
