The Val Verde County Library is a recipient of the 2026 TLA–HEB Summer at the Library Grant for $3,500!

The Texas Library Association, H-E-B Summer at the Library Grant program is supported through donations made during the H-E-B Summer Checkstand Campaign. Since 2024, the partnership has supported summer reading programs and initiatives at libraries across Texas. This year,104 grants totaling $326,350 were awarded to Texas libraries.

From Story Time to hands-on activities, this incredible funding will help us bring literacy programming to the Val Verde County Branch Library during our 2026 Summer Reading Program. We are so grateful for this support and can’t wait to see you all at the library this summer!

We would like to thank the Texas Library Association and H-E-B for this amazing opportunity and their continued support of libraries across Texas!

About the Texas Library Association (TLA):
TLA is the largest state library association in the United States with more than 5,000 members who work in public, school, academic, and special libraries. For more information, visit www.txla.org.
