INTERNATIONAL GOOD NEIGHBOR COUNCIL ANNOUNCES SEARCH FOR FORMER MISS DEL RIO TITLEHOLDERS FOR HISTORIC LEGACY FASHION SHOW
“Flourish a Blossom of Fashion & Purpose” Event to Showcase Decades of Regal Pageant Gowns and Community Leadership
DEL RIO, Texas
The International Good Neighbor Council (IGNC) officially announced today a community-wide search for all former Miss Del Rio titleholders to participate in a landmark celebration of the pageant’s enduring legacy. The special historical segment will take place during the upcoming high-fashion event, “Flourish a Blossom of Fashion & Purpose,” scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026.
Organized in collaboration with Imperius Events and Claudia Lopez Models Inc., the afternoon runway production is designed to bridge generations of local leadership, empowerment, and elegance. Directors are calling upon past queens to lend their official coronation or pageant evening gowns for a dedicated runway segment honoring the rich history of the Miss Del Rio scholarship pageants. To ensure full participation from all eras, the committee has established a convenient partnership arrangement: former titleholders provide the historic dresses, and Claudia Lopez Models Inc. will provide professional runway models to showcase them.
“Every gown represents a chapter in Del Rio’s history, a commitment to community advocacy, and the empowerment of young women,” said the IGNC event coordination committee. “This dedicated segment is more than a display of beautiful fashion—it is a living timeline of the leadership and grace that has defined our community for generations. We look forward to reuniting our historic court under one roof.”
Event Details & Participation Guidelines:
Event Title: Flourish a Blossom of Fashion & Purpose Legacy Segment

The International Good Neighbor Council is proud to celebrate the 67th Annual Fiesta de Amistad Parade!
This year's theme, "250 Years of American Voices and International Friendships," honors the rich history, unity, and cultural connections that have defined our community for generations.
To help make this celebration bigger and more inclusive than ever, we are excited to announce that parade entry will be completely free this year….our gift to the community.
As the keepers of this cherished tradition and organizers of one of our region's largest events, the International Good Neighbor Council must carefully evaluate logistics, security, and operational costs each year. Rising expenses and the loss of many in-kind donations created significant challenges, and at one point, we faced the possibility of greatly reducing or even eliminating Fiesta de Amistad activities.
Determined to preserve this beloved tradition, we partnered with Charro Extremo, whose commitment and support have helped ensure that Fiesta de Amistad continues to thrive for future generations.
With this partnership comes some exciting changes. While some traditions will remain unchanged, we are also introducing new ideas aimed at revitalizing community excitement, attracting more participation, and adding new attractions and experiences for attendees of all ages.
The International Good Neighbor Council invites every member of our community to become an Honorary Good Neighbor. Help us spread the message that growth is positive, innovation is healthy, and rebranding is often a sign of progress. Together, we can honor our past while building an even brighter future for Fiesta de Amistad.
Join us as we celebrate friendship, culture, tradition, and community 67 years strong and still growing.
