School is back in session for Decatur City and Saint Ann’s (Morgan County Schools & DHCA have a few more days of summer freedom 😊)!

If your child doesn’t have one of the most vital important school supplies – a Decatur Public Library card – we hope you will get them one. They are available free to anyone who attends school (or lives or works) in Decatur or Morgan County.

You can fill out the application online ( https://catalog.mydpl.org/ and click on ‘get a card’) and come in to pick up your card anytime in the next 30 days. Children under 18 years old require a parent/guardian to get their card. Learn more at www.mydpl.org/dplcards/

Early literacy tip from Bay Area Discovery Museum : Consistent routines help children know what to expect each day. Try following nap time with snack time every day, eating lunch around the same time each day, or putting them to bed around the same time each night.
