Those of you who know my husband, Chris, know that he is not one to brag on himself and his accomplishments. The past two years as the Circuit Clerk have been full of ups and downs as he made changes in the way the office looked and functioned in order to preserve the most efficiency of the office with the limited resources he had, due to the state cutbacks in funding to the clerks' offices statewide. This article shows his "outside of the box" thinking that has allowed him to be a good steward with what he was given. When I first met Chris, I realized that he was smart. After having known him for 22 years, I realize that God has given him a brilliance for business and organization that is unparalleled. He is one of the most wise managers I have met and has taken his job seriously and spent many a night worrying about his employees and whether the state would continue to cut the funding that might create more layoffs. While he can be very strict and unbending in his managing style, he does it to create excellence, for his office, his employees, and most importantly, the citizens of Morgan County, to whom he promised to serve well. This article gives a peek into some of the changes that have taken place and that will occur in the next few months. We hope to provide a more detailed presentation of the work he has done once the physical construction work is completed in the spring. However, I felt the need to share this with everyone who has supported us through the good times and not-so-good times that have occurred since he took office. He truly loves his job and I know that it is one that he was meant to have. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. I'm tagging our campaign site for those who may have followed us on that site but that are not linked to our other FB accounts.
