🚗🚕🚙🛻TRANSPORT HELP NEEDED THIS WEEKEND - SAN ANTONIO TO HOUSTON!🚗🚕🚙🛻

Lakona needs a ride from his foster in San Antonio to Houston to get knee surgery in Houston. It's a short trip, so we'd love to see if there are any volunteers to drive him from San Antonio to Columbus, and then a second leg to Houston.

This guy has gone through a lot - from his first intro to BCSAVE as a mere puppy after he was surrendered to the vet for ingesting a foreign object (and had surgery to remove it), to being diagnosed with luxating patellas (popping kneecaps), to now needing surgery to repair - this guy still stays sweet and loving and only wants to find a FURever home. He is a lovely, if slightly shy, friendly boy who rides fantastically in a crate or tethered and can be transferred between cars with no issues.

Right now - dates and times are flexible so if you're driving Highway 10 between San Antonio and Houston this weekend (or even during the week) and want a sweet, slightly goofy passenger, email Naomi @ bcsave.org!

Since she's heartworm positive, once she's fully finished weaning her pups, she will still have another 90-120 days of strict crate rest while she goes through fast kill heartworm treatment, which will another several hundred dollars (at its cheapest). 🎉🎉 MOMMA BUG AND HER PUPPIES ARE SAFE! 🎉🎉

Momma Bug and her EIGHT little bugettes are safe! Momma Bug is approx 2.5yrs old, 42 lbs, a gorgeous tri-color BC mix, and HW+. She and her EIGHT 2wk old babies (7 females and 1 male) were surrendered to one of our shelter partners. The shelter reached out, desperate to find Momma Bug and her puppies a safe place and our BCSAVE family came through!

Momma Bug is a really good mama and is super sweet with a cute helicopter tail. Her foster has already picked up some supplies, but 8 little ones will need a lot more in the next two months, so we've created a WishList if anyone wants to order something for Momma Bug and her pups.

🚨🚨FOSTER FOUND BUT NOW WE NEED TRANSPORT HELP TODAY!🚨🚨

🚨🚨IS ANYONE IN THE CORSICANA AREA THAT CAN DRIVE MOMMA BUG AND HER PUPS TO WACO?🚨🚨

We found a foster and they have transport from East Texas to Waco, but the transporter is under the weather and we want to try and shorten her tri[p if possible so she can get back to bed 😆!

Momma Bug and her pups are in Longview and will be going to foster in Cedar Creek, near Bastrop. The foster is able to drive to Waco to pick them up, and we have an intrepid drive from Longview who couldn't stand the thought of Momma Bug and her pups being in the shelter any longer. BUT she is *not* feeling 100% (or even 75% probably), so if there is ANYONE who can help along the route from Longview to Waco TODAY - let us know ASAP by emailing naomi @ bcsave.org!!!
