Springtown Police Explorer Post 1340

Posr 1340 are putting together their 1st float for the city Christmas parade this year. We are looking for pre-lit led Christmas trees to create a forest on the float . If anyone has any to donate we would appreciate it very much.

Congratulations to the Springtown Police Explorer Post 1340. Post 1340 competed in a overnight Explorers competition at Deep Nights Irving last night and brought home a 3rd place overall win. We could not be more proud of these Explorers. They continue to impress with their hard work and dedication to their post.

Some highlights of yesterday’s meeting!

Training can be tough, but not as tough as the situations an untrained individual finds themselves in.

Springtown Police Explorer Post 1340 would like to give a huge shout out to our Explorers and SHS students that competed in the TPSA First Responder Competition. Several of them placed highly in these scenarios including multiple 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals. These highly motivated individuals have worked tirelessly to sharpen their skills. Springtown Explorer Post #1340 is looking to expand!!!

We are seeking highly motivated individuals ages 14-21 that want to contribute to their community while gaining first hand knowledge of Law Enforcement.🚨🚨🚨

Our goal is to serve our community while teaching cadets the fundamentals they will need to bolster their goals of a career in law enforcement. 🚔🚔🚔

Cadets are expected to hold a high degree of integrity and ethics. Cadets must have a clean background with no major disciplinary issues. Cadets must be reliable and coachable.✅✅✅

Springtown Explorer Post #1340 meets once weekly for training. Training will consist of simulated scenarios as well as familiarizing each cadet with Texas laws. Springtown Explorers Post #1340 will send cadets on chaperoned competition trips, where they will compete with other posts in the area for trophies in various law enforcement related scenarios. 🥇🏆🏅🎖️

Springtown Explorers Post #1340 is celebrating one of our cadets for their life long dedication and hard work. We want to congratulate Thomas for obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout within the Boy Scouts of America. We are extremely proud of you and can’t wait to see what your future holds.

CONGRATULATIONS to Explorers Dusty, Tyler, and Bryson for their success at the Life On The Beat competition over the weekend. These guys got 1st place in 2 scenarios and 3rd in 2 more. These were not easily earned either. This was a overnight competition traveling from scenario to scenario in Lewisville. We appreciate your dedication, time and hard work you guys do every meeting. Thank you Sgt. Wacasey and SRO Officer Brown for giving up your time and sleep to assist these guys during the competition. Also would like to thank all of our actors that give their time up to come and assist with our training to prepare them for anything. Looking forward to their continued success.
