A set of car keys were located near Cider Mill Rd/Olney Rd today and turned into the police department, if you can describe what kind of vehicle they belong to please call in.
Reminder of the Alumni Parade on Saturday June 20th. The parade will start at 10 am. The parade route will be taking Clinton Street to Main Street, Main Street to River Street, River Street to Chester Road, and will end at the Riverside Middle School. Please seek alternate routes during this time as all connecting roads will be closed.

Summary of Incident:
On 06/05/2026, The Springfield Police Department along with the Vermont State Police, Weathersfield Police Department, Chester Police Department and Hartford Police Department conducted a search warrant on 26 Litchfield Street in Springfield, VT. This search warrant came after a month’s long investigation pertaining to the use and sales of narcotics. After the search warrant was executed and an investigation was conducted on scene. Suspected he**in, co***ne and fi****ms were located in the residence. The home owner and defendant, John Congdon, was taken into custody without incident. He was issued a criminal citation to appear in the Windsor County Criminal Court on 08/11/2026 at 0800 hours to answer to the charges of Narcotics Sales, Possession of Co***ne, Possession of He**in, Knowingly Permitting the Sale of Regulated Drugs in a Dwelling & Carrying a Deadly Weapon while Committing a Felony.

Congratulations to Officer Cameron Mason on graduating from the Vermont Police Academy’s 121st Basic Training Class for Police Professionals!
Officer Mason completed 17 weeks of rigorous academic, physical, and practical instruction. Training continues with additional weeks of post basic training, followed by an intensive 12 week minimum field training program.
