🚨 Volunteers Needed – Youth Tutor Program

❓What is the Youth Tutor Program?
Volunteer tutors support multilingual, recently resettled students in grades 3–12 — fully online, one-on-one. Tutors lead structured, reading-based sessions using the RAZ Plus platform, focused primarily on English language development (ELD), with homework support as a secondary focus.

Volunteers will meet with students every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:45 – 6:00 PM.

🚨 Volunteers Needed – Youth Mentorship Program

❓What is the Youth Mentorship Program?
Volunteer mentors support youth, ages 15–24, living in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties. Mentors will work one-on-one with refugee youth to support their individual high school, college, career, and post-secondary goals, covering topics such as academic success, college exploration, financial literacy, and personal goal setting.

Volunteer commitments vary based on program track.

☀️ The youth program’s annual summer academy programming for young newcomers has come to a close! In the past four weeks, students from local middle and high schools gathered daily to strengthen their English skills, explore post-high school pathways and make community connections.

As part of this year’s programming, the students enjoyed career fairs, hearing from professionals across a variety of fields such as sales, healthcare and the legal fields and asking questions to reflect on their own career goals.

Thank you to all volunteers and interns who participated in supporting our young clients!
