At Makovere Primary School in Zimbabwe, a sewing machine is doing more than stitching uniforms—it’s helping feed children, support vulnerable families, and create lasting hope. 🧵
Through a sewing hub supported by ADRA, the school is generating income to provide meals for 623 learners, helping ensure children can focus on learning instead of hunger.
In the face of drought and economic hardship, this community continues to choose resilience, creativity, and care for one another.
The answer to a fragile global food system isn’t more dependence. It’s stronger local communities. 🌱
Through school feeding programs, agriculture training, seeds, and water systems, ADRA is helping communities grow their own food and create long-term stability for children and families.
Because a full stomach creates space for something powerful: learning, imagination, and hope for the future.

Behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a story filled with courage, loss, and hope. May we continue to serve with compassion and stand alongside those seeking safety, dignity, and a place to call home. 💚

When Ebola outbreaks spread, communities need more than information. They need practical tools, trusted support, and hope.
ADRA teams in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda are helping communities reduce infection risks through hygiene support, prevention education, handwashing stations, and community engagement efforts. By working alongside local leaders, health partners, and families, we're helping protect lives and slow the spread of disease.
Please keep affected communities, frontline workers, and response teams in your prayers.

Parents and caregivers are often the quiet heroes of every community. 🌍
On Global Day of Parents, we honor the countless sacrifices made each day to protect, nurture, and provide for children around the world. From moments of joy to seasons of hardship, parents continue to show resilience, love, and hope for the future of their families.
At ADRA, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in a safe and caring environment—and every family deserves support along the way.
Today, we celebrate parents everywhere and the lasting impact they make through everyday acts of love.

After leaving home in search of stability, Wilmar worked tirelessly to provide for his family, using his art to get by and holding onto hope for something more. Through ADRA’s Alimentum Project, that hope became more tangible.
With access to a food card, his family can now plan ahead, meet essential needs, and invest in their future, from food and medicine to a more secure home.
Today, Wilmar continues to create, provide, and dream, proving that even in the hardest seasons, new beginnings are possible.🎨

When crisis disrupts everything, education becomes more than learning. It becomes a lifeline.
For children facing loss and uncertainty, access to education provides stability, a sense of normalcy, and even safety. It creates space for hope to grow and reminds them that their future is still possible.
At ADRA, we believe every child deserves that chance. 📚
Hunger does more than empty a stomach. It steals futures.
When families face food shortages, children are often forced to leave school behind just to help their families survive. And without nourishment, learning becomes impossible.
ADRA is working with communities to help break that cycle and protect the futures of children through local food systems and school feeding initiatives.

What once went to waste is now creating opportunity 🌱
In Zambia, Walubita, a mother of five, spent years working her land but struggled with post-harvest loss and limited resources. Through ADRA Zambia’s training in agroecology, storage, and food preservation, she’s learning how to make the most of every harvest. Today, she’s turning surplus crops into products like homemade jam and dreaming of starting her own small business to support her family.
“The value addition lessons helped me preserve food I never thought I could,” she shares.
Her journey is also inspiring other farmers in her community to adopt new practices, helping ensure more stable harvests and food on the table for more families. When farmers are equipped with knowledge, it doesn’t just change one life. It strengthens entire communities.

In big ways and small, we are called to show up for one another. To serve with compassion. To use what we’ve been given to bring hope, care, and kindness into the world.
When we do, we reflect God’s grace in action. 💚
