Founded in 1986, The Bethune-DuBois Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was established to sustain and magnify the educational legacies of two of America's greatest leaders...Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune and Dr. W.E.B. Their examples and teachings, emphasized personal leadership and the importance of education and training in solving public policy problems and in advancing the status and contributions of all African Americans in American society.
Our Skylar Scholarship Program: named after Skyler Byrd. the 1996 Bethune-Dubois Junoir Honoree. who received a perfect score of 1600 on her Scholastic Assessment Test. Our program provides scholarship assistance to promising Africa American High School graduates. Email us to learn how you can help or support us!
Our programs: Children's Annual Christmas Party: We sponsor annuelly a Christmas Party for 3,000 homeless and disadvantage children!
