Today we pause for a minute from all the craziness and uncertainty that surrounds us these days to remember all of the men and women who served during the Vietnam War. March 29th marks National Vietnam War Veterans Day. The VSF is closely connected to these men and woman, first starting out as the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation (VVAF) to help raise funds that supports the Vietnam Veterans of America's (VVA) Service Officer Program which over the years has helped countless Veterans from all different eras including our most recent conflicts, secure millions of dollars in unclaimed benefits. All this is made possible by our amazing and caring supporters!

Thanks to your continued support through these most uncertain times, the VSF is able to help provide much-needed support to organizations such as CCRI Student Veterans!

This past week, the Board of Directors had the pleasure of awarding nearly $750,00 to over 30 different programs in 20 different states! These programs focus on homeless veterans, job/transition training, Female Veteran support, Service Animals, Financial and Legal support and general life skills that our nation's need. Thanks to all of our amazing supporters for making this possible, you are truly changing lives!

The Veterans Support Foundation would like to announce the appointment of MARSEILLE L. ALLEN to the position of 2nd Vice President of the VSF! Marseille has been a key member of the board of directors for over 3 years and we are happy to have her serve in this new role! Veterans Support Foundation Marseille Allen is a community activist and political consultant who serves as the president of The Warriors Trust Fund, a nonprofit she established to assist combat veterans under active felony supervision in the criminal justice system.

We would like to thank all the amazing organizations supporting that submitted a grant application to us for this year's grant program. This program supports numerous organizations across the country providing valuable services to Service Members, Veterans and their families. Today, we not only honor all but on this special day, the 100th anniversary of the end of the war to end all wars, we pause to honor all of those that fought in WWI.

Our 2019 - 2020 Grant Application Window is now open! Non-profit organizations with programs that focus on and their families are encouraged to apply. The max award is $25,000. Please remember, only applications that submit all required documents AND are signed before the deadline of March 31, 2019, will be accepted.
