The Atlantic is reporting that Gen. Daniel "Chappie" James Jr. the first Black Four-Star general in American history has had his portrait quietly removed from the Pentagon. Another casualty in the Trump Administration's war on anything labeled "DEI." Honoring the first Black general to wear four stars isn't an ideology. It's history. It's earned.
Gen. James didn't get four stars handed to him. He earned them as a fighter pilot who flew 78 combat missions in Korea and another 100 over Vietnam, then rose to command the air defenses of the entire United States. He spent his life proving that excellence in uniform has no color.
You can take down a painting but you can't erase what he did for this country.
For Gold Star mother Stephanie Fischer, Trump's Arch is personal. Stephanie buried her son in Arlington National Cemetery, far away from home, because she believes in the sacredness of it.
Arlington belongs to the families who laid their children to rest there. When they say that Trump's vanity project will hurt them, we all should listen.
Three-Star Admiral Nancy Lacore is NOT IMPRESSED with Pete Hegseth's antics. Her message? Bench presses don't win wars. Strategy does.

These Republican veterans are BLOCKING The Major Richard Star Act, and backing a bill that guts benefits for the very people they served alongside.
The "Take Care of America's Veterans Act" strips disability compensation for tinnitus and sleep apnea, impacting up to 1.5 million veterans. Veteran Service Organizations are calling it a poison pill. As veterans themselves, these members should know better.
CALL THEM OUT: Tell them to sign onto Discharge Petition #22 and force a clean vote on The Major Richard Star Act. Let's deliver for veterans, no strings attached.

Rep. Carbajal isn't buying Trump's bluster about a peace deal. The only way to end this war is for Congress to step in. The House passed a War Powers Resolution, now The Senate needs to finish the job.
While Pete Hegseth plays identity politics with the military he's supposed to lead, veterans like Rebbecca Bennett are stepping up to run for Congress and actually fix it.
Hegseth is a disgrace to the office he holds. Bennett's running to hold him accountable.
