Our new album with Composer-in-Residence Andy Akiho finally dropped! This is the first album we've released under the baton of Music Director David Danzmayr, and we couldn't be more excited to share it with you. The Burnside Bridge turned 100 last weekend, and we joined the party with a performance from a quintet of Oregon Symphony brass players! Thank you to Multnomah County for having us! 🎺🏙️

Composer Danny Elfman has written music for some of the most iconic movies of our time—think Beetlejuice, Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Goodwill Hunting. But film music isn't all that he writes! This weekend, we're welcoming back percussionist Colin Currie to perform an incredible concerto that Elfman composed just for him. With a distinctly Southeast Asian flavor and a Shostakovich-inspired twist, we know that you'll be transported by this fascinating journey of a piece!

Inspired by the musical memories of Green's youth, this piece is an unfettered celebration of rhythm, sound, and the basic joy of being alive and human. We can't wait for you to hear it!
