The strong smell of cilantro helps keep the potato beetles away. Even better, cilantro can attract beneficial insects like hoverflies and parasitic wasps, which prey on potato beetle eggs and larvae, which means less potato beetles! Prevention is the best cure in organic gardening and that’s why I love companion planting. But sometimes, you need more help.
