When women come together, incredible things happen—and Ladies on the Links is proof.
This tournament is about more than a day on the course. It is about purpose, passion, and creating real impact in our community. Every swing, every putt, and every moment shared helps raise funds that go directly back into First Tee – Central Valley. Providing young athletes with the clubs, coaching, and equipment they need to grow and succeed.
Because access changes everything, when girls are allowed to play, they’re not just learning golf; they’re building confidence, resilience, leadership skills, and a belief in themselves that goes far beyond the game.
With your support, we are helping shape the next generation of women golfers! Young, driven leaders who are ready to take over the course, their communities, and the world.
This is bigger than golf. This is how we grow the game and create lasting change.
Sign up today to be part of the change.

The Community Our Kids Need Starts With a Coach.
In a world where young people are often surrounded by screens, noise, pressure, and constant comparison… coaches offer something different.
They offer presence.
They offer consistency.
They offer patience.
They offer belief.
At First Tee – Central Valley, our coaches help create the kind of community every child deserves—a place where kids feel safe to fail, brave enough to try again, and supported enough to become exactly who they were meant to be.
They teach much more than golf etiquette or course management. They teach emotional regulation. Communication. Responsibility. Respect. Resilience. The very skills that build stronger families, stronger workplaces, and stronger communities.
And the truth is simple:
The community leaders we celebrate tomorrow are often the kids who had a coach who showed up for them today.
So during First Tee Week, we invite our families, alumni, volunteers, and participants to join us in saying:
Dear Coach… thank you for helping build the leaders our community needs.
Tag a coach who made a difference in your life. 💚
Coaches Don’t Just Build Golfers. They Build Leaders. 💚
When people see First Tee, they often see golf clubs, practice greens, and smiling kids.
What they don’t always see are the coaches behind every moment.
The coach who stays late to answer one more question.
The coach who notices when a participant seems quieter than usual.
The coach who teaches that losing with grace matters just as much as winning with confidence.
The coach who reminds a young person that mistakes don’t define them—how they respond does.
At First Tee – Central Valley, our coaches are the heartbeat of this organization. They are the reason participants return year after year. They are the reason parents trust us with their children. They are the reason our alumni continue to come back, volunteer, and give back to the place that helped shape them.
Every future teacher, business leader, parent, coach, volunteer, and community advocate starts somewhere.
For so many of our participants… it starts with a coach.
This First Tee Week, we celebrate the mentors who help our kids discover their voice, find their confidence, and learn what it means to lead with character.
Dear Coach, your impact goes further than you may ever know.
Behind Every Game Changer, There’s a Coach. 💚⛳
This week, we join First Tee chapters across the country in celebrating First Tee Week—a time dedicated to recognizing the people who make everything we do possible: our coaches.
At First Tee – Central Valley, our coaches do so much more than teach grip, stance, or how to line up a putt. They teach young people how to stand tall after a tough day. How to shake hands with confidence. How to work through frustration. How to lead with integrity. How to believe in themselves—even when the shot, the grade, the friendship, or life itself feels hard.
For many of our participants, our coaches become some of the most consistent mentors in their lives. They are the adults who know their names, notice when something feels off, celebrate the small wins, and remind them that growth often happens in the uncomfortable moments.
The community we’ve built at First Tee doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because coaches show up—week after week, season after season—pouring into kids who will one day become leaders in our schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods.
So this First Tee Week, we say one thing loud and clear:
Dear Coach… thank you.
Thank you for every lesson. Every conversation. Every high five. Every moment you chose to believe in a young person before they fully believed in themselves.
Because without coaches… there is no First Tee. There is no community. And there are no Game Changers.

Don’t Let Summer Become Screen Time. Make It Growth Time.
Summer has a way of flying by. One minute school is out, and the next, routines are gone, screen time starts creeping in, and the structure kids worked so hard to build throughout the year can begin to fade.
That’s why Summer Registration at First Tee – Central Valley is open.
Summer isn’t just about keeping kids busy. It’s about keeping them moving, learning, growing, and connected. Research continues to show that when kids stay active, engaged, and socially connected during the summer months, they return to school more confident, more focused, and better prepared for the challenges ahead.
At First Tee, our summer classes do so much more than teach golf. Every clinic is designed to help young people strengthen the life skills they’ve been building all year long—confidence, emotional regulation, communication, perseverance, goal-setting, and learning how to work with others. These are skills that can fade without practice, but when kids stay active and connected during the summer, those lessons become habits that last a lifetime.
And maybe most importantly? Summer gives kids something many of them need now more than ever: fresh air, real friendships, caring mentors, and time away from screens.
So if you’ve been thinking about signing up, this is your reminder—don’t wait until it’s too late. Give your child a summer filled with movement, laughter, confidence, and meaningful memories.
Because summer shouldn’t just be a break from learning.
It should be a season where growth continues.

It Starts With a Golf Club… But It Becomes So Much More
At First Tee – Central Valley, we often say that golf is just the vehicle. What we’re really building is community.
First Tee is a youth development organization that uses the game of golf to help young people build confidence, character, and life skills that will carry them far beyond the course. But if you ask our participants, parents, coaches, or volunteers what makes First Tee special, many of them won’t start by talking about golf. They’ll talk about the people. The friendships. The mentors. The feeling of being known, supported, and encouraged to grow.
That’s because First Tee was never designed to simply create better golfers. It was created to help build stronger kids, stronger families, and stronger communities.
Every time a child steps onto one of our practice tees, they’re stepping into something bigger than a class. They’re entering a space where they learn how to work with others, overcome challenges, communicate with confidence, and lead with integrity. They’re surrounded by coaches who know their names, peers who cheer them on, and a community that believes in who they are becoming.
And the impact doesn’t stop with our participants. It reaches parents who find support in other families. It reaches volunteers who discover purpose through mentorship. It reaches local businesses and partners who choose to invest in the next generation. It reaches our entire Central Valley community.
In a world that can sometimes feel disconnected, First Tee is working to create something different—a place where kids spend less time behind screens and more time building real relationships, learning real life skills, and becoming young people who will one day lead the communities around them.
So what is First Tee?
It’s a golf program.
It’s a mentorship network.
It’s a safe place to grow.
It’s a family.
It’s a community.
And every day, together, we’re building Game Changers. 💚
What a day at our Corporate Challenge!
This year’s Corporate Challenge was a true celebration of community, connection, and the incredible things that happen when people come together to invest in the next generation. From the first tee shot to the final putt, the day was filled with laughter, friendly competition, meaningful conversations, and a shared commitment to the young people of the Central Valley.
A huge congratulations to this year’s champions, Omega Pacific Insurance and Grover Financial Group, for taking home this year’s Corporate Challenge title! These organizations have been incredible supporters of First Tee – Central Valley for years, and their commitment to our mission continues to create life-changing opportunities for the youth we serve. We truly cannot thank them enough for all they do for our kids, our families, and our community.
To every business, sponsor, golfer, volunteer, and supporter who came out to celebrate with us—thank you. Your support helps us continue building confidence, character, and leadership in young people across the Central Valley.
A special thank you goes to Del Rio Country Club for the countless hours, care, and behind-the-scenes work that brought this event to life. Year after year, your partnership helps create unforgettable experiences for our community.
And to our amazing caddies—thank you for showing up with open minds and positive attitudes. You may have learned a little golf etiquette along the way, but more importantly, you experienced mentorship, teamwork, professionalism, and what it means to serve something bigger than yourself.
This is what First Tee is all about. More than golf. More than competition. Building Game Changers—together. 💚
