We are incredibly proud to recognize Emma Pinkerton, who was selected to attend and participate in Texas 4-H Congress!
This year, 267 Texas 4-H members from across the state came together to strengthen their leadership skills, debate important issues, and experience the legislative process firsthand.
With 236 bills submitted, delegates discussed and debated topics impacting communities across Texas. One of the highlights of the event was returning to the Texas House Chamber, where participants debated legislation before the Texas 4-H Governor signed several key bills into law. These included legislation focused on Groundwater Metering and Data Collection, Career Readiness Flexibility, Tax-Exempt Transaction Modernization, and Property Owner Accountability.
We are especially proud of the way she continues to represent our club with leadership and dedication. Congratulations, Emma!

Another fun packed day yesterday.
Started off with the fourth general session where we listened to two state officer retiring addresses, a message from Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, and recognized state winning LDES and CDEs.
Then we enjoyed a small break at the house and then returned for the fifth session where there were more awards, 2 more retiring addresses and listened to one of the national FFA officers.
Then back to the house for homemade sourdough pizza courtesy of Mrs. Rayner and Ian!! Laatwly the kiddos finished off with fun night. Decked our in neon and ready to see some talent!

Convention Day 3
Today was a day of sessions. Our kiddos attended a business session to vote on policy for Texas FFA and then general sessions where they listened to retiring officer speeches and the candidate speeches for incoming state officers.
Emma rocked her thing as an Area Officer all day.
We ended the day with a fun time at Activate, but we were missing Emma since she was still working the last session at the convention center.
A long day, and everyone is tired , but ready for another packed day tomorrow!!

Convention Day 2
Kaylie Neffendorf competed again today. They went into the short go today in 5th place. They roped hard but came up short today. Kaylie and Randy ended up in 7th place even after not making a full catch during the short go.
Shyla shaved off a whole second on her barrel run on the 2nd long go🎉 unfortunately she did not make the top ten for the short go.
At the convention center, Emma Pinkerton walked the stage and received ger Lonestar Degree. This is the highest degree you can earn in the state of Texas for FFA. It takes 3 years of working and maintaining and SAE and the corresponding recorsbook, along with FFA leadership and involvement!
All officers attended workshops and visited with colleges in the exhibits hall and made great contacts!
Our Officers are now enjoying the kickoff concert with Aaron Watson and the future ffa officers are enjoying a magic show to end the night!!
