As we prepare for winter in a few short weeks, now is a great time to sign up for Operation: Warm to add $1 or more to your monthly DU bill and help those in who are elderly, handicapped or facing a health crisis say warm and healthy. Funds collected each month are administered by Community Action Partnership of North Alabama to DU customers who meet the criteria. Assistance is available on a one-time basis. Important info from CAPNA!

With the first (finally!) hint of fall in the air, NOW is the time to get your heat pump serviced before winter temps arrive. It's also a great time to check for cracks and crevices around doors and windows where cold air can infiltrate - as well as making sure you have at least six inches of blown or batted insulation in the attic above all heated and cooled areas! Remember, DU offers TVA EnergyRight financing and rebates for heat pumps and weatherization.
