🦅🔨 May brought wonderful progress to the new building addition at DHCA! We are excited about the new opportunities this expansion will bring in the coming school year.

🦅 Briley Barron represented Decatur Heritage at the 89th Alabama Boys’ State last week! Boys’ State is an intensive, week-long leadership and citizenship training program for rising high school seniors. Hosted at the University of Alabama, it challenges participants to build a working government from the ground up—running for office, drafting legislation, and engaging in mock judicial and political party systems.

🦅🎾 Congratulations to Murphy Founds on her selection to the AHSAA North-South All-Star tennis team! Murphy will represent Decatur Heritage on the North team during the AHSAA’s All-Star Sports Week in Montgomery this July.

🦅🏀 Youth Basketball Camp is this week at DHCA! The camp is open to kids currently in grades K5-6th. The camp has fee is $50 per athlete with a T-shirt included. Open to students at any school. 🦅 Please join us in warmly welcoming Dr. Bo Culver and his family to the DHCA community!

Dr. Culver will serve as our next Upper School Principal, bringing strong leadership, a heart for students, and a deep commitment to Christ-centered education.

We are also excited to have his wife, Brooke, who will be joining our faculty as a Middle School Math teacher, along with their children, Blakely and Roman, who will be students at DHCA.

We are grateful to have the Culvers join the Eagle family!

🦅 We are thankful to the Francis family for their investment in Decatur Heritage and in the lives of their five sons. In the fall of 2000, David and Amy enrolled their oldest, Jack, in DHCA’s kindergarten. They have continuously had a child enrolled in our school for 26 years until this week with Luke’s graduation. We appreciate all of the support from the Francis family in the way they have given back to our programs and classrooms over the years. We pray for the Lord’s continued blessing in the next chapter of your lives!
