Dearborn Area Nature Alliance (DANA) was formed by concerned citizens in March of 2019.

DANA organizes volunteer work sessions with the goal of eradicating invasive plants and replacing them with natives, so the ecosystem can thrive.

Have you noticed the brown slopes and bottomland in Dearborn Park recently? Weโ€™ve had a few neighbors reach out to ask if this is our work. It is not. The has contracted out work with Cascade Springs Forestry and they are targeting invasive plants in the park. This habitat restoration & forest management work will be done in phases and weโ€™re hopeful to have a healthy & balanced ecosystem soon.
