Well, this is a bummer--Wylde Center has had to create a new Facebook account.
You may have noticed that we have been unable to respond to questions or comments since the beginning of the year, and we have only posted directly from Instagram.
In order to fully interact, we have a new Facebook account (wyldecentergardens), and we hope you will migrate over and follow us there.
This account will remain open because we can't close it 🤪 However, no new content will be added.
Looking forward to seeing you on the other side!

The hardest part about outdoor events is sometimes Mother Nature interferes. Unfortunately, we have to cancel our event for this evening as we are expecting less than ideal weather. Although not gathered as a group, we celebrate in solidarity all of the women around the world. Happy International Women's Day 💜

Our Story
Wylde Center exists to connect people to nature. We do this through environmental education and by protecting urban greenspace. We engage our community in the natural world, teach sustainable urban living and organic gardening, and improve community health and well-being by increasing exposure and access to locally grown food.
Wylde Center was founded in 1997 out of a need to provide opportunities to experience nature in an urban environment. As a result of the community’s involvement and commitment, the Wylde Center now preserves five greenspaces (Oakhurst Garden, Sugar Creek Garden, Hawk Hollow, Edgewood Community Learning Garden, and the Mulberry Fields Garden) in four different Decatur and Atlanta neighborhoods, open year round for the community, for events and for Wylde Center’s educational programs.
Wylde Center also provides one of the largest youth environmental and science education programs in metro-Atlanta, including the Decatur Farm to School program, Atlanta Farm to School, Healthy Living by Healthy Growing at the Decatur Housing Authority, and science program and field trips linked to Common Core standards.
