The TOTA 2024 Call for Proposals is Open!

Conference Theme: Building Resilience in Changing Times

TOTA invites prospective presenters to submit proposals to the TOTA 2024 Annual Conference. This year we are using a new software platform for managing the call for proposals called Oxford Abstracts. You will need to create a username and password to submit your proposal. All email communications will be conducted through this platform to improve communication and efficiency of the call for proposal process.

Please review the submission requirements before initiating your submission. ***All incomplete submissions will be deleted from the system.

About TOTAPAC:
The “PAC” provides a voice for occupational therapy practitioners in the State of Texas political arena and is dedicated to ensuring a proactive and timely response to legislative or regulatory activity which may impact the practice of occupational therapy (https://www.tota.org/totapac). The executive committee meets once per month to discuss important issues related to OT and Texas politics.

Positions on the Executive Committee:
President (and Campaign Treasurer), Treasurer (vacant), Assistant Treasurer, and Secretary.

How to join:
Be a member of TOTA, make at least one donation to the PAC, and have an sincere interest in helping the profession through advocacy behind the scenes.

It’s time to start thinking about nominating yourself or colleague for an elected position with TOTA!!! All state and district elected positions survey to your term which would start October 23 and run till October 2026. Current positions up for election this year include: State Treasurer, Alamo South District Chair, Capital Centex Vice Chair, Capital Centex Secretary, Great Plains West District Chair, Gulf Coast East Vice Chair, Gulf Coast East Secretary, Rio Grande District Chair, Trinity North Vice Chair, and Trinity North Secretary. The call for nominations is only open until the end of April and voting will begin in June. So if you’re interested, please get those nominations in!!
