✨Exciting news! Austin Opera’s Curator of Hispanic & Latinx Programming Claudia Chapa joins the team as our new full-time Associate Director of Artistic Administration.
Mexican mezzo-soprano Claudia Chapa has performed numerous leading roles for Austin Opera, most recently as Lupita in Cruzar la Cara de la Luna. Claudia was appointed as the inaugural Curator of Hispanic & Latinx Programming in 2022 and will continue to serve in this capacity. We welcome Claudia into this new role contributing to the company’s programming and casting alongside General Director & CEO Annie Burridge, Sarah and Ernest Butler Music Director Timothy Myers, and the Austin Opera staff.

This Showcase will feature our 2023-2024 Resident Stars, soprano Audrey Ballish, soprano Kristin Bilodeau, tenor Willie Casper, and mezzo-soprano Spencer DesChenes, performing a concert of arias, art songs, and musical theater highlighting each of their unique voices and talents.
