It is with sadness that we advise Alan Pound, passed away, on 21/12/2023.

His service is Thursday, 28th December at Tipene Funeral Home, 31 Paramount Drive, at 11:00am.

Our deepest condolences to Suzanne and family.

PT CHEVALIER MENS TRIPLES

Alex Reed, Colin Williams and Harry Davis have taken out the 2023/24 Men's Triples title. The trio were in dominant form over the weekend, and won with both lives in tact.

In the final they played Kevin Morris, Graham Edwards and Damian Beullens.

With Harry Davis setting up a solid platform off the front, the Reed team broke away early, helped by a 5 on the fourth end. Kevin's team clawed back to be 4 down at the halfway stage, only to have the opposition break away again. The game ended with an end to spare.

Congratulations to the Reed combination on a fine performance!

Hello all members and local guests,
We would like to thank you for your support over the December function season. It has been very successful and added positive energy to the club.

Sunday the 17th of December, we have a large function of 200 guests who are booked in the function room and on the lawn with the large wooden tables. They also will have half of the car park reserved for them.

We have left the club room, where the bar is situated, available for members and half of the car park for parking. You are still welcome and we thank you for your patients and supporting these functions.

AUCKLAND CENTRE PAIRS

It was great to see the Pirates out in force this weekend in the Centre Pairs.

Our ladies, Jo McKenna and Jenny Stockford, have made it through to the semi-finals where they will meet Linda Ralph and Jo Cheng (Carlton Cornwall). On the other side of the draw is Tessa and Chelsea Farley (Balmoral) playing Rima Strickland and Nicole Singer (Royal Oak).

Alex Reed and Stephen Campbell were pipped 15-16 in the last 16, a fantastic effort against the top billing combination of Gary Lawson and Tony Grantham (Mt Albert). .

Kevin Morris and Graham Edwards also qualified but were defeated by Chong du Cheng and David Akaruru in the first round of post section.

It was somebodies lucky day!!! Congratulations Judy - our membership draw winner!

Pt Chevalier Pirates have won the Any Combo Pennants, undefeated! Big congrats to all team members, and thanks to the reserves who played when needed. Proud of u all Pirates, arrrgghhh

Due to the forecast and ongoing management of natural greens, we have decided to postpone Interclub Pennants & Half-Day 6s for Saturday 18 November. This decision has been made to ensure the best possible playing experience for all involved.

Further details:
🔵 Rounds 7-9 are to be played on 25 November at original venues as published (no change).
🔵 Rounds 4-6 are now to be played on the scheduled reserve day, 2 December.
🔵 BowlsHub will be updated ahead of play to reflect any possible venue changes.
