2026 Award Recognition!

This award recognizes members who work in partnership in advancing academic medicine in rural Saskatchewan.

Dr. Irvine was nominated by Dr. Rabia Shahid and Dr. Shahid Ahmed, who highlighted his leadership in building meaningful, respectful partnerships that advance academic medicine and patient care in rural and northern Saskatchewan. They noted his collaborative, community‑engaged approach to co‑designing innovative models of care with Indigenous partners, rural clinicians, and academic and health system collaborators, resulting in improved equity, system coordination, learner development, and patient outcomes.

A High School Physician Clinic will be held at Churchill School tomorrow, Wednesday, May 20th. A doctor will be available to see students from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.
We are happy to see students for any health-related issues including acne, mental health issues like depression or anxiety, birth control prescriptions, attention or school performance issues, substance abuse, sexual health, etc.
All visits are confidential.
We would appreciate if a valid health card could be brought for appointments. If you are a student and would like to book an appointment for yourself or a parent who would like an appointment for your child, please contact the La Ronge Medical Clinic at 306-425-2174. Drop-in appointments are also welcome on the day of clinics!

We will be closed Monday May 18th for the long weekend! Regular hours resume May 19th!

Walk with your Doc - we are still planning to meet today at 11am in the Medical Clinic Lobby - come on out for a walk and visit with some of your local family doctors! Dress warm, bring an umbrella, and join us after for snacks 🍿🧃 and drinks at the Clinic!

UPDATE: Due to the unfavorable weather forecast, we are unable to offer the free BBQ 😪 but will have lots of drinks and snacks to share after the walk 🥰 🧃🍿
