Northern Career Quest is an industry-led training program directed toward Aboriginal residents of northern Saskatchewan.

In its seven years of operation (2008-2015), NCQ exceeded expectations, resulting in a total of 2,982 training program graduates. Over three quarters (83.3%) of these graduates obtained quality employment and over 75% remain employed today.

NCQ unfortunately was not refunded by the Feds. It was a great run. But we will be done by Jan 31st. Glad we could help a lot of Northerners over the past 14 years.

Hopefully find out this week if we are refunded.

NCQ is wrapping up as our contract with the Federal government is coming to an end. It really has been a great 13 years! We have received funding from the Feds three times and have been able to exceed expectations every time thanks to great northern folks who really do want employment and careers.
We hope to use our remaining funds on programs that have guaranteed jobs; as we have always tried to do.
We have been fortunate over the years to provide employment oriented training for 90% of our trainees. Resulting in 3775 job opportunities for Northerners.
It has been an absolute pleasure working with this program. It by far has been the most rewarding job that I personally have had. And I have been lucky to have rewarding jobs all my career.
We will utilize all our remaining funding by the end of June. Both my colleague Danielle and myself (Steve) feel fortunate to have been part of this great program.
