We were supposed to take our gentlemen fishing today, but Mother Nature had other ideas. With the reservoir flooded from all the recent rain, we traded fishing poles for picnic tables and turned the day into a Man Cave Picnic in our beautiful Butterfly Garden.

The fresh air, good food, great conversation, and plenty of laughs made for a wonderful afternoon together. A huge thank you to Cherish Hospice for generously providing all the fixings for a fine picnic. Your kindness helped turn a rainy-day disappointment into a memorable day for our residents.

When life gives you flooded reservoirs, have a picnic instead! 🎣🧺🦋

Nothing says home quite like a warm, homemade meal shared with people you care about. Tonight our Executive Director, Kathy Pace, traded paperwork for an apron and treated the residents to a comforting home-cooked dinner of chicken and dumplings, mashed potatoes, seasoned brussel sprouts, cornbread and apple pie. The dining room was filled with smiles, full plates and happy hearts. Judging by the empty dishes and compliments all around, it was a meal made with love and truly enjoyed by all!

Today we pause to remember and honor the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. 🇺🇸 Our residents and community reflect with gratitude for the freedoms we cherish each day. Their legacy will never be forgotten. ⭐

Staying engaged in hobbies can bring so much joy and fulfillment to daily life. 🌸 Our residents enjoy activities like gardening, painting, and music that support happiness and well-being. It’s all about nurturing both mind and spirit. 🌿

Sometimes it just takes spending time — no rush, no distractions, just one-on-one time — to show someone how much you care. Today we spent some special girl time with Vicki. We talked, created a small floral arrangement, and styled her beautiful white hair. We talked about feeling beautiful. We talked about raising our children. We laughed and simply let the minutes tick by. Vicki walked away feeling beautiful, and we walked away feeling blessed by our time together.
