Today in Preschool, we learned about Joseph and how God was with him through every up and down. Joseph was taken far away to Egypt, worked in an important house, spent time in jail, and later helped Pharaoh prepare for a famine. Through it all, God was with Joseph wherever he went.

Story Focus: God is with me wherever I go.

Today in Elementary, we learned that Jesus teaches us to stay close to Him, just like branches stay connected to a vine.

Kids were reminded that God created us for friendship with Him, and when we stay close to God, we can grow strong in our faith.

Bottom Line: I can grow when I stay close to God.

Today in Hope Kids Elementary, we learned that one of the best ways to listen for God’s voice is by reading His Word.

We explored what the Bible is, why it matters, and how Scripture helps us know God and follow Him in everyday life.

Bottom Line: I can learn to know God through the Bible.

Today in Preschool, we learned about Hagar and Ishmael in the desert. When they ran out of water, God heard Ishmael crying and showed Hagar a well.

Our Preschoolers learned that God saw them, God heard them, and God always hears us too.

Story Focus: God always hears me.

Today in Preschool, we learned about Daniel and the lions’ den. Daniel kept praying and talking to God, even when it was hard, and God sent an angel to shut the mouths of the lions.

Our Preschoolers learned that God was always with Daniel, and God is always with them too.

Story Focus: God is always with me.

Today in Hope Kids Elementary, we learned that when we follow Jesus, we can hear His voice, just like sheep know the voice of their shepherd.

We talked about different ways God speaks to us, including through the Bible, through other people, through creation, and in our hearts.

Bottom Line: I can hear from God.

It's hard to believe it's that time for "Back to School". We want to pray with you over the upcoming school year. 🙏

🎒On Sunday, August 23rd, during both 9am and 10:45am services, we will have our Backpack Blessing. HopeKids (Preschool-5th) are encouraged to bring their backpacks to church and join us on stage during service for a prayer over the school year.
