Springfield Illinois Stake
Members and friends of the Springfield Illinois Stake. This is not an official website of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
What are you doing in your life to equally devote yourself to loving God and also your neighbor? his
What a joy it is to be able to rest from all our labors throughout the week and to honor the Sabbath Day by doing things that help us rest unto the Lord. What are some things you like to do to rest unto the Lord?
How does knowing who you are to God, change your day, week, or life?
When we let him, Jesus Christ can help us speak His love here. We are so blessed to see so many examples of love in our stake, what is an example you’ve seen recently of someone speaking Jesus’ love to you? ❤️

Brothers and Sisters, We have seen many wonderful blessings over the past couple of years, especially as we have focused on thinking celestial, sharing the gospel, and making the temple a priority in our lives. Let us now expand our vision by adding a focus on JOY.
JOY grows when we intentionally:
✅ Seek for the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost
✅ Make and keep sacred covenants with Jesus Christ, especially in the temple
✅ Love all Heavenly Father’s children by sharing the gospel and serving others
We love you and are grateful for your goodness. May we all find and experience more JOY in all our lives.
Joyfully,
Your Stake Presidency

Christmas message from the Stake Presidency:
On the Eve of Christmas, with all the plans and expectations for our celebrations of Christmas Day hanging in the air, we pause to reflect with deep and abiding gratitude on the gifts of salvation and exaltation offered to us every day of every year by our Savior, Jesus Christ.
We often remember the message of John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Wonderful as that humbling and hopeful message is, we sometimes pause there without going on to read the next verse: “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
As we ponder those verses, we pray that we will all receive the gifts of grace, forgiveness, new beginnings, and the love Jesus offers us.
The greatest gift we can offer Him as we celebrate His birth is to receive the gifts He offers us—yes, even you, especially you.
You are the precious gift He seeks as He invites you to embrace Him and receive His love.
May we all be so warmed and transformed this Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and every day of this coming year and all eternity to follow.
With our love and gratitude,
Your Stake Presidency

When you go to the temple during this Christmas season, stop in at the Giving Machine in the West County Center (south of the temple on Manchester) on the second level near the Dick’s store.
While there we saw the James and Adrienne Peterson family and folks we know from the St. Louis area.
Kate Steele of Nurses for Newborns introduced us to several giving options that would support their work.
Lots of options, wide price range, all for good causes.

The Giving Machines open today! If you are in St. Louis this month, stop by the West County Center, choose an item to donate, and bless someone in need this season.
