Psalm 107 has much to say about how, since the LORD redeems His people, we should give Him thanks. We read the Old Testament stories, but when did we last recount the stories of God’s redemption in our own lives?

This Sunday, guest preacher Clark Emerson will help us consider stories of Israel’s redemption as well as our own. Clark is in process of coming under care of our presbytery and a current MDiv student at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. Clark and his wife of seven years, Grace, along with their daughter, Ayla, are happily expecting their second baby in July.

Old Testament Israel was always urged to praise the Lord for who He is. But Psalm 117 calls on all nations to praise Him and envisions the whole world joining in on the praise of God.

This Sunday, in Pastor Stephen’s sermon titled, “A Psalm for All Peoples,” we’ll see how God's heart has always been for the world, with Old Testament Israel as the vehicle of His blessing to all peoples.

The PCA General Assembly is the highest governing body and annual meeting of our denomination. It brings together pastors (teaching elders) and church leaders (ruling elders) to vote on church policies, elect leadership, manage denominational ministries, and debate biblical issues.

This Sunday, Pastor Stephen returns to the pulpit with a sermon on Psalm 116, in which the psalmist refuses to keep his rescue to himself. What does it look like for us to do the same? And why does God call us to testify so openly to the quiet ways He has been faithful? Join us as we follow in the psalmist's footsteps from personal deliverance to communal gratitude.

Exodus Ministry Coordinator Craig Dunham and his wife Megan are hosting a summer book club focused on fiction at or under 200 pages. Participants are welcome to attend all five discussions or pick just one that interests you. The only prerequisite is you have to have read the book. Everyone is welcome!

This Communion Sunday, Ruling Elder Craig Dunham finishes his two-part intro of our Summer Psalms series with Psalm 112, the companion to last week's Psalm 111. If Psalm 111 showed us the character of God, Psalm 112 reveals that character surfacing in those he has redeemed, his children.

We'll consider the portrait of a life rooted in grace — generous, steady when bad news comes, reflecting its Redeemer the way the moon reflects the sun — and discover why the statement “it runs in the family” can be a positive description rather than a derogatory judgment of a people reaching out with the gospel.

Had a great turnout on a beautiful but bittersweet morning.
