These photos, courtesy of Springfield History Museum, are of the graduating classes of 1926 - Springfield Schools have been celebrating graduates for more than a century.

Thurston Elementary welcomed an extra-special surprise guest this afternoon – Ducks quarterback Dante Moore!
Mrs. White’s 2nd grade class read Dante’s book “From Journey to Dream” and sent him letters answering the questions at the end of the book. Dante was so touched that he organized a visit to the classroom, where each student got a signed copy of the book to keep.
After the classroom visit, the whole school was treated to a surprise assembly, where Dante read his book aloud and answered some really thoughtful questions.
The Cheetahs were inspired to dream big and stay kind!

This prom season, SPS staff and students created opportunities for students across the district to feel confident, celebrated and cared for through free prom boutiques and salon services.
High school Family Resource Centers and the Gateways High School Cosmetology Academy came together to help make prom more accessible for students across the district.
The experience made an impact not only for students attending prom, but for the students volunteering their time and talents to serve others.

It’s World Otter Day, so of course the Two Rivers-Dos Ríos otters, Ollie and Oakley Otterton, invited all of their friends to celebrate!
Even though all the animals are different, they could still play well together with great teamwork and sportsmanship!
The student Otters had an absolute blast cheering on their favorite staff member in costume. Such a fun and memorable way to celebrate their mascot and each other.
