Supporting the YMCA Strong Kids Golf Outing is a no-brainer. We love partnering with the YMCA to help fund programs and scholarships that make a difference for local children and families. Congratulations to Epic analyst Marcia Carroll, August Colleague of the Month for System Resources. Marcia has become a trusted resource throughout Memorial Health during the Epic electronic health record implementation. “Quite simply, we would not be where we are today without her contributions,” wrote the nominator.

Congrats to Miranda Buckley, RN, our August Colleague of the Month. Miranda carefully listened to concerns, explained care plans, identified issues that improved comfort and treatment. “Because of her, I never felt rushed, overlooked or unimportant. She truly made me feel like I mattered,” wrote the nominator.

We will always remember the fearless actions of so many first responders on that devastating day. Today, on this 25th anniversary, we honor the lives lost & the heroes who responded.

Memorial Health is offering free Trauma-Informed Care Training sessions for professionals working in community-based organizations, healthcare, education or other settings that serve vulnerable populations. Participants will learn practical approaches to recognizing and responding to trauma, and two continuing education credits are available for those in clinical settings.
