Springfield Memorial Hospital volunteers helped at the Phoenix Center of Springfield recently, tackling deep cleaning in the basement, the terrace and Harm Reduction Services area at the Lawrence Building, plus light reorganizing in the Scarritt building.

"This is a task that would've taken our staff about a year to complete,” said the Phoenix Center clinical services director Ruth Ann Bertram. “We're very grateful."

Our Springfield and surrounding communities made big strides in Mindful Miles, logging 47,914.1 miles in support of emotional and physical health. Our top finishers were Robert Schmidt with 437 miles followed by Javier Prado at 426 and Barbara Teaman at 401 miles. Congrats to everyone who participated, taking steps for better health!
