Springfield Ballet is saddened at the news of Prima Ballerina Deborah Hadley’s passing. She was an inspiration to many both on and off the stage.
She was part of the Springfield Ballet family in the early years and served as Co-Artistic Director in the late seventies. She was instrumental in forming the ideals and standards that we have held ourselves to over the years.
Our artistic director Adam Sage was trained by her in his most early and formative years at the United States International School for Performing arts Conservatory.
“Debby was the one who planted the seed of the “magical world of ballet” inside me as a child. Without that I would not have experienced the amazing journey I have taken over the past 45 years. I am forever grateful to her and was always in awe of her enthusiasm and love of ballet and children,” Adam Sage, Artistic Director.
Rest in peace now, and know that your legacy is all of us who you touched with your kind heart and gracious spirit.
