Happy 2025 Florida Senior Beta Convention 💛🖤 We have all worked so hard to make it here, this Beta Club is so proud of all its members! We had a blast and hope to share some of our fun memories of this weekend!!

Welcome to Beta Club!! Thank you to all of our new Betas, we are so excited to have you this year! You all show great achievement, character, leadership, and service for your community, and we are beyond grateful for your support and assistance. Please come join us to help kick off HOCO week!! Beta Club’s annual PowderPuff game is taking place this Monday, October 21st at 6:00pm. Partial funds of admission will be donated to hurricane relief! . All participants will receive Critter Coins, thanks to Coach Mac!! . If your club is interested in selling concessions, contact Mrs. Gonzalez (room 312) or Ms. Oliver (room 1022) or our Instagram account!!!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support Beta Club at our Sweet Frog fundraiser! Our goals are to continue to promote our local chapter and to organize larger and better community service events. Let us lead by serving others 🫂

Come to Sweet Frog this Saturday from 4-8 PM to support Springstead's Beta Club! Before paying, let them know that you would like to contribute to Beta Club! Beta Club members: if you send us a picture of you with your sweet treat, you will receive a Beta Club hour!

Over this past weekend, 11 of our Beta Club members, including 5 of our officers, attended Florida State's Beta Convention of 2024 where we demonstrated our skills and talents. These competitions allow students from Beta Clubs all across the state to come together and show one another what they're capable of; Beta members can demonstrate the skills that they have developed aside from the learning experiences they gain through community service.

Three of our Beta members, Daniel Talbot, grade 10, Victoria Rivera, grade 10, and Juliana Rivera, grade 12, placed in the top 3 of their respective categories. Daniel Talbot placed 2nd in the French category, in which he took an academic test. Victoria and Juliana Rivera performed a duet with one another in a vocal performance and placed 3rd! We are incredibly proud of all Betas who dedicated their time to competing at this convention.

We also participated in the State Service Project. In this, we created Valentine's Day cards with words of love and support for children at a local hospital. We always hope that our actions make a difference, and, through collective effort, they will.

Overall, this was an extremely productive trip that we thank our sponsors and peers for helping make possible! ❤️

We have extended the signups for Powder Puff! Signups will be due Wednesday, 9/27 to Mrs. Gonzalez (room 106). We are severely lacking in players, especially for juniors.

Those that want to be players, cheerleaders, or coaches must join the student-run Remind and view previous announcements to get the forms and necessary information in order to play their role.
