Saginaw Transit Authority Regional Services - STARS
Our mission is to provide safe, efficient, dependable and affordable public transportation to all the citizens of Saginaw.
Thank you to Goodwill Industries of Mid Michigan for the donation of these wheelchairs! We will be able to serve our riders better with this generous gift!
Today we will send LIFT driver Carl McCaskey off to retirement bliss after 34 years of service to the people of Saginaw. Imagine the number of riders whose days were brightened by his smile and kind words! Congrats, Carl!
Don't forget!
We appreciate driver Rhonda Hendricks for doing an exceptional job in so many ways. We recognize your hard work today and every day!
Thank you, Rhonda! Your hard work makes us a better organization.
Today we want to recognize Driver Vieonca Delgado for expertly managing expired bus passes insuring accuracy and integrity within the system! Our drivers manage so many moving parts both literally and figuratively, and Vieonca is next level! Thank you!
We would like to recognize driver Martel Riley for extraordinary efforts at work lately! His support, encouragement and leadership has a positive impact on the entire team. Thanks for all you do, Martel!
We think a recognition for our managers is pretty nice, but it’s safe to say that being recognized by a rider is much more special. Kiddo Connor is a non-verbal Rides to Wellness rider on the autism spectrum and he expressed his thanks to his favorite driver Steve Brothers with this beautiful piece of art. Well done, Steve!
TODAY!
A huge thanks to these staff members that have gone the extra mile.
Christopher Delbridge and Scott Wojcik prevented accidents by remaining vigilant and focused. Safety is a huge part of our jobs and these dedicated drivers have proven how serious they are in keeping themselves and riders safe.
Warren Thomas stepped up during a recent staffing shortage and took care of the team, ensuring that riders had consistent travel. He was proactive and willing to help, and for that we are always thankful!
Join us in thanking them, please!

Saginaw Valley State University is easily accessible on our routes and there's still time to apply for classes starting this fall! For SVSU Main Campus, take Route 9. There's also a connection to Bay Metro Transit on main campus.
For the Riverfront location, Route 7 goes right by, but our Downtown plaza is only 4 blocks away so that is an option too.
