🚨Testimony Opportunity🚨tomorrow (9/9 at 9:30a) Portland City Council is hearing No NDAs for Data Centers!
last week, our Field Organizer, Zac, showed out at City Hall to give testimony on No NDAs for Data Centers—an ordinance aimed to prevent back room deals as our city discusses policies relating to data centers. It passed out of committee and is now headed to the full council 👏
we know that NDAs and backroom deals erode public trust! every decision about data centers should be kept public where Portlanders can follow and engage in the process

unfortunately, despite this process going through December, there is no longer opportunity for public comment… BUT! we encourage you all to attend Wednesday’s (8/12) City Council meeting @ 9:30 AM, where they will vote on the final term sheet 🫡

to celebrate the final week of our community organizing cohort (🥲), our ‘26 team got to learn about policy design & how to set up a political campaign from our Advocacy Director, Sol.✨
they then worked together to craft their own organizing strategies based on the issues that matter most to them! 📣
