Providing a strong voice for Oregon's workers. The Oregon AFL-CIO is a federation of labor unions in the state of Oregon.
It is one of 51 state-level federations which coordinates work among affiliated unions. The Oregon AFL-CIO engages in assisting unions in organizing, political education campaigns, legislative advocacy, building labor-community partnerships, education and training. Among the Oregon AFL-CIO’s areas of interest are: creating family-wage jobs, workers’ rights, economic development, community engagement, activist training and labor education.

Oregon Labor Federation, AFL-CIO President Graham Trainor and Secretary Treasurer Sarina Roher spent the week at the 2026 AFL-CIO National Convention, where they participated in the hard conversations union workers are having right now about the challenges facing our movement, and the opportunities to build transformational power in the years ahead.
From AI and attacks on immigrants to the rigged economy and civil rights, our movement is rising to the challenge.
As Secretary Treasurer Roher said, “the convention may be over, but the work continues!”

During the 2026 legislative session, Oregon passed HB 4111 to strengthen protections for immigrant communities against discrimination in court, at work, and in everyday life. These protections went into effect this month. Learn more here:
