As our Project Developer, Jon keeps finding new ways to understand a house before the TDS build crew ever picks up a hammer.

Jon digs into the details early and he's comfortable with tech - Matterport scans, videoscopes to see into walls, whatever it takes to learn all about a house before we start the build. That groundwork means fewer surprises for our team and for our clients.

Jon finds pride in knowing he's made a contribution to improving the spaces and lives of the people we work for. Three years in, and that contribution keeps growing. We're glad he's on the team.

Two years with TDS Design Build!

Erin Lynett brought a background in space planning, cabinetry, and kitchen and bath design. Two years in, she's grown those skills and takes on whole house remodels with ease.

She asks the questions clients didn't know they needed answered, and isn't afraid to float the unconventional ideas if it moves the conversation forward.

What drew her to TDS was the quality of the work we do. What's kept her here is the culture - we're glad she's here.

Meet Ryan Buckel, Architectural Designer at TDS Design Build.

Ryan brings years of experience teaching architecture, engineering, and woodworking to each project at TDS. His guiding principle is that good design starts with understanding the home that is already there. Before making changes to a space, he looks at the whole picture: the house, the site, the neighborhood, and how it all works together. Ryan believes new work should add value while preserving the existing home's character.

When he's not designing, he's behind the camera at live music events or writing and producing his own music.

TDS Design Build is featured on the cover of the UW-Madison SBDC Fall 2026 Class Catalog.

Ben got his start at TDS in 2000 and worked his way up to owning the company. The SBDC was a key part of that journey, from writing a business plan to navigating the purchase process.

Today, Ben leads a team of designers and craftspeople helping Madison families stay in the neighborhoods they love. He wants to make sure education stays part of the TDS culture by introducing team members to Wisconsin SBDC at UW-Madison courses as they grow in their careers.

Congratulations to Kevin Hayes-Birchler on 10 years at TDS Design Build.

Kevin joined TDS as a finish carpenter with an eye for detail and a deep respect for the craft. He moved from carpenter to lead carpenter quickly, and four years ago stepped into the office full-time to do what he loved most, the planning, problem-solving, and client communication side of the work. Today, he's our Project Manager, bringing a finish carpenter's precision to schedules, site walks, and the day-to-day decisions that keep your projects on track.

Ian is our Operations Manager here at TDS Design Build, a contributing editor at Fine Homebuilding, and a regular on the Fine Homebuilding Podcast.

Meet Alex Bartlett, our Field Operations Manager at TDS Design Build! With 12 years of experience, Alex brings a unique blend of hands-on skills and leadership to every project.

Growing up in Monroe, he learned the trade from his dad and has been passionate about carpentry ever since. Remodeling is a challenge he embraces, treating each home like his own. We’re proud to have Alex’s expertise and dedication on our team!
