Our Prelude 2 beginner string ensemble is already sounding excellent!
We are so thankful for one of our newest staff members, Bethany Christman Wing, who came on board to serve as the Prelude Program Coordinator and to teach Prelude 1 and 2. She has developed the curriculum for our 3rd grade violin program as well as teaching guides for the instructors that serve in our outreach string program, Breakfast with the Classics. Just two weeks into rehearsals and great things are already taking place!

I’m glad to support Decatur Youth Symphony - Decatur, Alabama, and help bring the opportunity to learn a string instrument to students in six Decatur City Schools - Alabama elementary schools.
Programs like this give students a chance to discover something new, build confidence, and develop a skill they can carry with them. I’m grateful to everyone who makes this program possible and for the impact they’re making in our schools and community.
