Cub Scout Pack 175 Decatur

Our fall campout at Camp 175 on Lake Allatoona never fails to impress with some good ol' fashioned time in the woods and a fantastic view of the lake!

Our 3rd graders in the Bear Den enjoyed fantastic weather as they explored the "Top Trail" at Arabia Mountain, Georgia!

Pack 175 proudly honored our veterans at Decatur Cemetery, metro Atlanta's oldest public cemetery, during our annual Veterans Day service project this past November.

Atlanta Area Council Spooky-Ree 2025 was another massive success! There were so many amazing (Cub Scout AND Haloweeny) things to do and fun was had by all!!!!

Our Pack 175 2025/26 Kick Off Meeting/Open House was a hit! We reconnected with friends, made new friends, ate popsicles, made bead crafts, and launched our Hand Made ROCKETS...We literally had a BLAST!!!

Join Cub Scout Pack 175 as we kick off our scouting year with our first Pack Meeting and Open House! We will meet Sunday, August 17, from 2-4pm behind Glennwood Elementary.

Our Pack is made up of Kindergarteners through 5th graders. Whether you are a returning Pack family or just interested in learning more about the Pack, our Kick Off is sure to be a blast!

We will meet in the field behind Glennwood Elementary to launch rockets, eat popsicles, and learn about some of the adventures we have in store for this year.

Family members may want to bring a camp chair or blanket to sit on. We will meet rain or shine. Hope to see you there!

Cub Scout sleepover Summer Camp 2025 did not disappoint! A great time was had and priceless memories where made by all!

What's the expression when you're in nature... take only sharks teeth, leave only water bottles? Something like that? Well, whatever it is, I'm sure we spent some time doing it on our big spring trip to Jekyll Island! Learning about herpetology and marsh ecology, meeting local wild life, building sand castles, playing sports and games, hunting for sharks teeth, fishing, and hiking... we had a blast! Thank you to our camping committee and volunteers who put together another AMAZING trip!

Pack 175’s 2025 Pinewood derby on March 1 was an amazing display of our Cub Scouts’ CREATIVITY and TALENT! With just under 100 cars registered, check out the amazing home-built works of art in the pics below!

The results have been tallied and the votes are in. At our upcoming Blue and Gold, Cub Scouts will be receiving trophies for the fastest cars in each den and the Pack, along with the cars that received the most Cub Scout votes: Most Creative Car, Car with the Most Scout Spirit, Funniest Car, and Coolest Looking Car (as well as a few Judge’s Choice awards).

And we’d like to extend a HUGE shout out to our Pinewood Derby leaders Stephanie and Elizabeth who did a fantastic job organizing our Derby, all of our adult volunteers, and especially the Scouts from our local Scout partner Troop 4475 Decatur and Troop 175 Decatur who volunteered their Saturday to providing service and leadership to help run our Pinewood Derby.
