💜 September is Su***de Awareness Month

This year’s theme, “Start the Conversation. Be the Difference,” reminds us that we all have a role in creating a community where people feel seen, heard, supported, and connected to help.

At Claratel Behavioral Health, we know that starting a conversation about mental health can make a difference. A simple “Are you okay?” followed by listening without judgment can be an important first step toward getting someone the support they need.

We are here to listen, support, and help you or someone you care about with the services and resources needed to move toward a brighter tomorrow.

Need immediate behavioral health crisis support?

💚 10 Years of Support for NAMIWalks Georgia. One Shared Mission. Countless Brighter Tomorrows. ☀️

Claratel Behavioral Health has proudly stood alongside NAMI Georgia and NAMIWalks in the movement to raise mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and ensure individuals and families know they are not alone.

🤝 Since 2016, Claratel has supported NAMIWalks Georgia, and we are proud to continue that commitment in 2026 as a Sponsor.

Our decade-long partnership with NAMIWalks is about more than sponsorship—it reflects a shared commitment to stronger communities, greater access to care, and a future where seeking mental health support is met with understanding, compassion, and hope.

👟 This October, we’ll walk together once again—our staff, clients, families, friends, and community partners—because mental health matters and every step helps move our community forward.

We invite our community to JOIN Team Claratel and stand with us in raising awareness, reducing stigma, and showing that no one should face a mental health journey alone. TEAM CLARATEL LINK: https://zurl.co/wwpp6

🏠 Supportive Housing Week — Housing + Support = Brighter Tomorrows

As we close Supportive Housing Week, we want to highlight again our Housing Supportive Programs that demonstrate the power of connecting housing with the services people need to move forward.

At Claratel, supportive housing is about more than having a place to live. We provide essential behavioral health services, case management, skill-building, and individualized support that help people maintain housing, strengthen stability, and move toward greater independence.

🏠Supportive Housing Week | Housing Supportive Program (HSP)-Partners for HOME and HSP- State

Today, we highlight two programs, Claratel’s partnership with Partners for HOME (PFH)—an organization that believes everyone deserves a place to call home. PFH works with community stakeholders to expand housing opportunities, especially for neighbors impacted by homelessness and housing instability.

The State of Georgia’s supportive housing programs, supported by the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), provide affordable housing assistance paired with voluntary support services. Participants are linked with a case manager who coordinates behavioral health services and other wraparound support.

💙 Through HSP-State and HSP- Partners for Home , Claratel has served over 400 clients by providing the behavioral health support and services individuals need to maintain housing and move toward greater independence.

🤝 We maintain bi-weekly contact to help participants remain connected to services and maintain housing stability.

Claratel Behavioral Health was proud to participate in the Beyond Us Community Summit: Service Integration, an important conversation about what it truly takes to support our communities.

Our CEO, Fabio van der Merwe, joined community leaders to discuss the importance of integrating behavioral health services with the broader network of community resources—especially when serving individuals experiencing homelessness.

Supporting people with complex needs requires more than simply making referrals. It requires connection, coordination, and collective action.

The summit challenged us to move toward true service integration—bringing together:

🏠 Housing
🧠 Behavioral Health
🤝 Human Services
🏛️ Government Agencies
💙 Community Organizations & Partners
📍 Other Critical Community Resources

When organizations combine their resources, expertise, and services around shared outcomes, we can address barriers more effectively and create stronger pathways to stability, recovery, and well-being.
