Students in the Adventures Plus program at Sand Creek Elementary are focusing on kindness and community. Last week, the C**n Rapids MN Fire Department came out to talk to the kids about fire safety and how firefighters serve the community. The students also held a food drive with all donations going to HOPE 4 Youth in Anoka. #AHSchools #discovercommunityed
From trash to treasure!

Students in the Adventures Plus before- and after-school child care program at Sand Creek Elementary recently constructed "eco-art" as a tie-in to learning about Earth Day. We love to see how creative our students and staff are.
Good luck to our students in #AHSchools taking their MCA tests this week! Check out what great encouragement the younger students at
Sand Creek Elementary made for the third, fourth and fifth grade students as testing begins.
Guess what just celebrated its 1st anniversary?

The U.S. Space Force! Students at Sand Creek Elementary commemorated the new military branch with a virtual visit from Sgt. Nick Ruiz. What an exciting way to wrap up the final days of school before winter break. #AHSchools love hosting special guests!
Thank you for sending the 5th graders off in such a memorable way!! We will miss everyone!
Anna Heinrich (programmer at Eisenhower Elementary School, Hamilton Elementary, Johnsville Elementary School and Sand Creek Elementary) challenges students to try an Earth Day scavenger hunt.

Anna made a checklist on the driveway with sidewalk chalk - and is searching for a rock, leaf, litter, dirt, a feather, stick, grass, a flower, an ant and bark.

When is kindergarten round up?
I just wanted to send out a huge heartfelt thanks to all the staff at SandCreek Elementary. My daughter is in her 6th year there and my son was there for 4. Last year, my son struggled a lot there. You all were so great with him and helped him and us in every way possible. He is doing very well at his new school and misses you all! So many thanks to especially Mr. Anderson and all the special education staff, i wish all schools had the devotion you all have!
The 15min parking spot IS NOT for you to park so you have a close place to wait for your kids at the end of the day... its for us who have to pick up our kids early!!! Some of us have to get in and out quick to get to an apt.

Looking for inspiration for 2022? Students, staff and community members can now download the original song used to kick-off the 2021-22 school year, inspired by the school district tagline, “A future without limit.”

Song downloads will fund musical instruments for students in the school district through the Anoka-Hennepin Education Foundation (AHEF) Encore! Fund, which covers the cost of refurbishing donated musical instruments so they can be brought back to life for a student who otherwise doesn’t have or can’t afford a band or orchestra instrument. Read more, download the song:

The song, “No Limits,” was written and produced by James Greer, the school district diversity and inclusion coordinator, along with Stanley ‘Chance’ Howard and his creative musical team. Greer has a history in the music industry, collaborating with famous performers including Janet Jackson, Prince and Morris Day and the Time - to name a few.

“There is no limit to what we can do, who we can be, or where we can go. In my mind, I was thinking that there is no limit to what we can do in life, period,” Greer said.
